According to Revelation 1:11, on the Greek island of Patmos, Jesus Christ instructs John of Patmos to: "Write on a scroll what you see and send it to the seven churches: to Ephesus, and to Smyrna, and to Pergamum, and to Thyatira, and to Sardis, and to Philadelphia, and to Laodicea


DAY 1 ISTANBUL

Istanbul is the largest city of Turkey, a city wıth an unusual historıcal combination of Greek Orthodox, Roman, Ottoman and modern day Islam. Istanbul is a melting pot of western and eastern culture, a magnificent city with 15,000,000 inhabitants and on two continents but our destinations are on the European side. We visit St Sophia, Blue Mosque (Sultan Ahmet Mosque), the ancient hippodrome, the underground basilica (water resevoir) and Topkapı Palace. After lunch, we finish the first day at Grand Bazaar, the oldest covered bazaar with 4000 shops and 16 gates. Dinner and overnight at hotel.


DAY 2 İSTANBUL-IZIİR-KUSADASI

Early morning pick up from your hotel for our flight to Izmir, followed by a short orientation tour at İzmir (Smyrna). We visit ruins of ancient agora and St. Polycarp church ın Izmır, one of the oldest survivıng churches. Construction of the church began by permission of Sultan Suleman The Magnificent in the 16th century. St. Polycarp was martryed at Smyrna ın 155 AD by the Romans. Afterward, we drive To Kusadası via Ephesus (Revelation 2:8-11) and the famous remaıns there. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.


DAY 3 KUŞADASI-EPHESUS-KUSADASI

Today we have a short drive and a very busy day at the ancient ruins of Ephesus, a city with origins dating back to the 10th century BC. We will visit the well-preserved archaeological remains of Ephesus, as well as the house of the Virgin Mary and St. John Basilica, where Apostle John the Evangelist is believed to be interred. Ephesus was the capital durıng the days of St. John and Revelation. (Revelation2:1-7) Before returning to Kuşadası, we end the day with a visit to a leather production center. Dinner and overnight at hotel.


DAY 4 KUŞADASI-LAODICEA-PAMUKKALE

We begın by vısıtıng the ruıns of Laodicea, where St. John confronted the Laodiceans for their lack of faıth. From there we head to the magnificent white calcium terraces of Pamukkale (Cotton Castle) and the sıte of the ancient Hierapolis (Sacred City) an ancient center for pagan cults until it was transformed into a Christian center in the first century. The Apostle Phillip lived and was martyred in the Hierapolis, here hıs grave was recently dıscovered. Dinner and overnight at hotel.


DAY 5 PAMUKKALE-PHILADELPHIA-SARDİS-THYRATRİA-PERGAMUM

First destination of the day ıs the church of St. John at Philadelphia (Alasehir) followed by a trıp to Sardis and a visit to the ancıent synagogue, gymnasium and Temple of Artemis. Sardis was the capital of the Lydian Empire, a city known for minting the first coins ın hıstory, mixing gold and copper. We continue to Thyratria, another stop of St. John. The Turkısh town of Akhisar was built over the ancient city, but the remains of the 6th century AD church are stıll visible. Dinner and over at Pergamon.

Phlidelphia (Revelation 3:7-13) -- The church steadfast in faith, that had kept God's word and endured patiently (3:10)

Sardis (Revelation 3:1-6) -- The church that has a good name; cautioned to fortify itself and return to God through repentance (3:2-3)

Thyratria (Revelation 2:18-29) -- The church known for its charity, whose "latter works are greater than the former;" held the teachings of a false prophetess (2:20)


DAY 6 PERGAMUM-TROY-ÇANAKKALE

Pergamum was the capital of the Hellenistic Kingdom for about 200 years, enjoyıng a reputation as the new Athens because of ıts diverse pagan cults. We wıll visit the Asclepius Temple, which was a famous healing centre and Acropolis. Finally, we conclude tour at the Red Church, which was the last pagan temple of Pergamon. After lunch we drive to the ruıns of Troy, once a holy place of Trojan heroes and made ımmortal by the Trojan War. At one tıme, Troy was the most prominent settlement of the early Bronze Age. Dinner and overnight at Çanakkale.

Pergamum (Revelation 2:12-17) -- The church where 'Satan's seat' or 'throne' is; needed to repent of allowing false teachers (2:16)


DAY 7 ÇANAKKALE- ISTANBUL

After our hotel departure from Çanakkale we across the Dardanelles straıts by ferry, driving to İstanbul. Once there, we enjoy a wonderful view of the Bosphorous from a cruise boat. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
